Chef KC Chang

China Lite Chef and Owner KC Chang has spent his professional life in the kitchen. With more than three decades of experience in the restaurant business, the dishes served at China Lite are personal creations from Chang. Chef KC Chang

Chang began his career in Taiwan. When Chang emigrated to America in 1983, he spent time working in restaurants in Hawaii, San Francisco, Phoenix and even Anchorage, Alaska. While in Anchorage, Chang worked as a tableside waiter at Hotel Captain Cook, creating full-course meals with his guests as the audience.

At China Lite, the emphasis is on the food and the flavor, not flair.

“I think my knowledge comes from my parents, watching them cook,” Chang said. “My style brings the flavor out of the food being prepared.”
